Saddle Up! The LCS Spring Finals Are Coming to Texas

2020 LCS Spring Finals will be held in Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on April 18 and 19

TL;DR

  • The 2020 LCS Spring Finals will be held in Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas on April 18 and 19
  • Ticket information will be released February 14 and go on sale February 21 on lolesports.com

For the first time, after much demand from players and fans, the LCS Spring Finals are strapping on cowboy boots and heading south to Texas! Ford Center at The Star, based in Frisco, Texas near Dallas, will host the stars of North America’s League of Legends teams and their fans from across the country on April 18 and 19.

The Star is a 91-acre campus including the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and practice facility, as well as the brand new GameStop Performance Center and headquarters of Complexity Gaming, one of NA’s leading esports organizations.

“We are thrilled to partner with the City of Frisco in bringing one of the largest esports events in North America to Ford Center,” said Dallas Cowboys Chief Operating Officer Stephen Jones. “As the esports industry continues to grow, including here onsite with Complexity Gaming, we will continue to create and host one-of-a-kind experiences for fans all over.”

The Spring Split Finals will feature the semifinal and final matches of this year’s new expanded Spring playoffs bracket, which was covered in detail in the LCS 2020 Format announcement. The top team at the Spring Finals will take home the Spring Split trophy and championship title. Most importantly, they’ll also qualify to represent North America on the global stage at the 2020 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational, where last year the LCS’s Team Liquid defeated defending world champions iG to advance to the finals against the LEC’s G2 Esports.

In 2019, over 600,000 fans were watching at the peak of the LCS Summer Finals broadcast in August, and the event contributed $5.44 million to the local economy of our host city Detroit. We’re aiming to go even bigger for Spring Finals in fine Texas tradition, and we’ll be revealing more of what’s in store for the event in the coming months.

Ticket information for the 2020 LCS Spring Finals will be released February 14 and go on sale February 21 on lolesports.com and on SeatGeek.com.
