As the highest level of League of Legends competition in North America, LCS is dedicated to ensuring fair play among its participants, in and out of game. The LCS Penalty Index exists as a set of guidelines, providing LCS officials, team members, and the general public recommended ranges within which penalties should fall for corresponding offenses. Each situation has its own context, and, based on the circumstances surrounding each case, LCS officials may issue penalties that fall above or below the listed range of penalties.
