Competitive Ruling: Shizoli

Shizoli has been demonstrating excessively toxic in-game behavior including harassment, verbal abuse, and continual use of racial slurs.

FACTS

Manu “Shizoli” Bansal participated on the roster of a Ranked 5s ladder team that qualified for the Spring Challenger Series Qualifiers. During the rigorous vetting process that all players seeking to participate in the Challenger Series go through, it came to light that Bansal has been demonstrating excessively toxic in-game behavior. This behavior included, but was not limited to, in-game harassment, verbal abuse, and continual use of racial slurs.

Over the lifetime of his account, 65% of the reports his account received were for Verbal Abuse, Negative Attitude, and Offensive Language. He has been consistently receiving chat restrictions since March with no indication of reform.

RELEVANT RULES:

Section 9.2.7 of the official Challenger Series ruleset states:

“If CS or Riot determines that a Team or Team Member has violated the Summoner’s Code, the LoL Terms of Service, or other rules of LoL, CS officials may assign penalties at their sole discretion.”

RULING:

Bansal has violated rule 9.2.7 of the Challenger Series ruleset.

COMPETITION PENALTIES:

Bansal is:

  • Suspended from participation in the Spring Challenger Series Qualifier
  • Suspended from Riot-affiliated League of Legends tournaments until the 2015 Summer Split
