The IPL Summer Promotion Qualifier continues despite the cancellation of IPL 6.

The IPL Summer Promotion Qualifier continues despite the cancellation of IPL 6.On April 1 through 3, eight teams play in the quarterfinals, fighting to take a step closer to becoming pro.

The advancing four teams will then move on to Los Angeles where they will duke it out in Riot’s LCS Studio on April 11 and 12 during Week 9 of the LCS.

In addition to their share of a $15,000 prize purse, the two finalists will earn their spots in the Summer Promotion Tournament where they will join Cloud 9, Velocity eSports, 4 teams from the Challenger tier, and four LCS teams in a war for four open spots in the upcoming LCS Summer Split.

The format for the IPL Summer Promotion Qualifier will be a best-of-three elimination. The higher seeded team has the option to select their side in game 1 & 3.

The quarterfinal matches will be streamed on RiotRara’s live-stream with directed-camera and in-game audio available. The semifinals and finals on April 11 and 12 will broadcast live by the LCS crew and can be seen on lolesports.com and other streaming affiliates.

Update: Due to the instability on NA Live client, the IPL Summer Promotion Qualifier has been postponed until a later date to ensure the integrity of the tournament.

  • Curse Academy vs 1 Trick Ponies – April 1 (7pm PDT) | April 2 (04:00 CEST)
  • Cloud 9 vs Dignitas B – April 2 (7pm PDT) | April 3 (04:00 CEST)
  • Square Duck vs ASU eSports- April 3 (8pm PDT) | April 4 (05:00 CEST)

Note: Times are approximate and may change slightly depending on the duration of the matches.
